I'm glad to report that I'll be sticking my fingers into my eyes every morning from now on. After breaking my glasses on Thursday, I stopped by Lenscrafters and got contact lenses. I'm fairly certain that the woman who gave me my "class" on the proper way to insert and remove my lenses was just blowing smoke up my ass when she told me that I was "the best student" she had all week. She claims that it normally takes 30 minutes on average for a new lens-wearer to get used to the process, and I did it in only 5. Nobody pokes themselves in the eye better than me.
BTW- bonus points for any 80's pop-culture geeks who got the reference in my blog title this week.
